I Hope So !!!
Always
try to let someone know the area your going to be in. And when you plan on
coming back. From the small water holes of the backcountry, to the
Great Lakes of the northern USA. If something happens! (
They need to know
where to start looking for you.)
Make
sure the equipment you plan on using is in good working condition.
Get
the weather forecast for the area you plan on bowfishing in, and plan
accordingly.
If
your taking your boat, make a checklist of every thing you think you might
need for your self, and the people that will be hunting with you. (There’s
nothing worse than getting out on the water, and finding out you forgot
something at home or back at the boat ramp.)
If
your taking someone out on the water with you for the first time, take a few
minutes to go over the safety rules, where the safety equipment is located
on board and how it operates. (Stuff happens, and someone knowing this
information could mean the difference in life or death for himself or
herself or you. And by you taking the time to show them, your letting them
know you care about their Safety.)
What
your hunting for is slime with fins and sometimes teeth.
So it’s a good idea to have a first aid kit with you.
When you get home after an enjoyable bowfishing trip, take the time to clean-up the boat & equipment, so it will be ready for that next bowfishing outing.
Remember, to replace worn-out or damaged equipment.
The list of safety suggestions could go On-a-On...
Just remember a Safe Day of Bowfishing,
Is a GREAT DAY OF BOWFISHING !!!
Please check the weather forecast before heading out.
