Mission Statement

To provide children with a structured environment to learn

hunting & fishing techniques that ensure fun and responsibility.

 

Some guidelines to help us achieve the mission are:

  1. Support Group members and supporters sharing our knowledge and skills (hunting & fishing related) with children on a daily basis.
  2. Encouraging affiliate clubs & organizations to schedule at least one youth activity on their yearly calendar of events. The children’s event will allow the men & woman of that organization the opportunity to devote 100% of their time to sharing hunting or fishing skills with the children participating and attending the youth activity. These types of activities get the children involved with the club or organization, and also give the children something to look forward to participating in year after year.
  3. Support for the Youth Equipment Fund. Donations to the Support Group Youth Equipment Fund will be used to offer children the opportunity to barrow (youth sized) hunting or fishing equipment (at no cost) so they can participate in youth event’s. Many families cannot afford to buy hunting or fishing equipment for their children. By having youth sized equipment available to borrow, children who would otherwise be left out can now enjoy a fun filled day of hunting or fishing. The need is great, and the positive effect that it will have on the children and those offering to help (personal sponsors) will be overwhelming.
  4. Telling friends that enjoy the great outdoors about the Support Group’s efforts to get more children involved in hunting & fishing activities. We (The Support Group Team) are always looking to add new members that are willing to share their knowledge and skills with children, to help them become more knowledgeable about today’s hunting & fishing equipment, and the proper and safe way to use those items.

 

By using these simple guidelines, we will succeed.

   And the Tradition will be passed on!!!
